JACK BAUER: The following takes place between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
EXT: LOS ANGELES DOCKS: ON TOP OF THE CARGO SHIP
(Jack is searching the dead crewmen and dead terrorists when he finds something that looks like a PDA and hands it to a CTU officer)
JACK BAUER: I want this taken back to CTU for detail decryption.
(Jack calls Michelle Dessler at LOS ANGELES CTU.)
MICHELLE DESSLER: Dessler.
JACK BAUER: Michelle, I'm sending you something that looks like a PDA. I need to know what's on it.
MICHELLE DESSLER: I'll put Shawn right on it.
JACK BAUER: This is to sensitive for a new tech. I want someone else on it.
MICHELLE DESSLER: I trained Shawn. He'll be okay.
(At CTU we see a t.v. screen and a reporter saying that the Vice President will be in Los Angeles for the next three days.)
EXT: ON TOP OF THE CARGO SHIP
(Jack calls Tony Almeida.)
TONY ALMEIDA: Jack.
JACK BAUER: We got the Ricin but the arm shipments are missing.
TONY ALMEIDA: We got the Ricin, That's got to count for something. I'll call Division and see if we can get the okay to work it up.
JACK BAUER: Tony, there's something else. We found the entire crew dead. Do you know who gave us the tip on raiding the cargo ship?
TONY ALMEIDA: No. All we know is that it was called in from a pay phone four blocks away from Los Angeles harbor. Why, what are you thinking?
JACK BAUER: That this isn't over.
(>i>Jack hangs up.)
INT: CTU WASHINGTON D.C.
(Chloe O' Brian answers her phone.)
CHLOE O' BRIAN: CTU O' Brian.
CHASE EDMUNDS: There planning on assassinating the Vice President.
CHLOE O' BRIAN: Why aren't you using your cell?
CHASE EDMUNDS: I don't have a choice. The room I'm in blocks cell signals. Listen to me. There planning on assassinating the Vice President sometime today. You need to connect me to Los Angeles CTU.
CHLOE O' BRIAN: Okay, connecting.
TONY ALMEIDA: This is Tony Almeida special Agent in charge.
CHASE EDMUNDS: Agent Almeida, My names Chase Edmunds. D.C. CTU. Now I've just gotten word that there's going to be an assassination attempt on the Vice President sometime today.
TONY ALMEIDA: I'm going to need more details on this.
CHASE EDMUNDS: I don't have many details.
(In another room Carr and Tarket are listening in on the conversation.)
CARR (to Tarket): Take care of this.
INT: CTU LOS ANGELES
(Michelle Dessler calls Jack.)
JACK BAUER: Bauer.
MICHELLE DESSLER: Jack, it's Michelle. We just got word from D.C. CTU. There's going to be an assassination attempt on the Vice President sometime today.
JACK BAUER: You don't know when?
MICHELLE DESSLER: No but we got an address of someone invovled. I'm sending it to your mobile device.
JACK BAUER: Robert Daniels? Okay I'm leaving the docks now I'll let you know what I find.
TONY ALMEIDA: Agent Edmunds. We found an address. We have our field director on it now. Thanks we'll let you know how it goes.
CHASE EDMUNDS: Wait, that's it. You'll let me know how it goes.
TONY ALMEIDA: Yes, It's in our hands now.
(Tony hangs up.)
CHASE EDMUNDS: Chloe, you still there? I need a flight to Los Angeles.
CHLOE O' BRIAN: Sonya will never alow it.
CHASE EDMUNDS: I'm going around Soyna.
CHLOE O' BRIAN: Chase, your signal's been detected. Get out of there. I'll send backup and a chopper.
CHASE EDMUNDS: Give me two minutes to lock down the base and take everyone.
INT: WASHINGTON D.C. TERRORIST BUNKER BASE
(Chase is in a small room. To protect his cover and continue working in Los Angeles he must eliminate the terrorist cell here. He makes his way down the hallway, taking out several men. He destroys several comm units as he make his way to the main control room. He kills several more men as he grabs a key off a desk and makes his way to the lockdown switch. The base goes on Lockdown as Chase rides a elevator to the top floor. He is greeted by tarket.)
TARKET: I've been looking forward to this Chase.
CHASE EDMUNDS: Me too.
TARKET: Kill him.
(Several men attack but Chase fires a bullet into a gas tank and takes them out.)
TARKET: Impressive. (Tarket fires at Chase.) Come on.
(As Tarket is reloading, Chase throws a combat knife into Tarket's neck. Chase continues, looking for Carr. Chase finds Carr and they exchange gunfire.)
CARR: You got balls kid, but you're not leaving this bunker alive.
CHASE EDMUNDS: Think again.
(Chase fires a bullet into another gas tank and it blows away Carr. Chase escapes the base and makes it outside where a CTU chopper is waiting. Chase climbs in as the chopper takes off. )
CHASE EDMUNDS: You need to head to the airport.
CAPTAIN: My orders are to...
CHASE EDMUNDS: I don't care what your orders are, I need to get to the airport.
CAPTAIN: Yes sir...
