JACK BAUER: The following takes place between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
(On a clear summer day, the early morning sun rises as a cargo ship enters the Los Angeles Docks. The cargo ship docks as some crew members begin to walk down and out of the ship. Within a split second, terrorists charge at the men, killing them. At least twenty or so terrorists attack the cargo ship killing all the crew members and the captain. One terrorist has something on wheels as he rools it onto the ship.)
EXT. C.T.U. PARKING GARAGE
(CTU Director of field operations Jack Bauer gets out of his SUV and enters the building.)
INT. CTU MAIN FLOOR
(Agent Michelle Dessler walks up to Jack)
MICHELLE DESSLER: Jack, you have a waiting call on line three.
JACK BAUER: Okay, I'll take it upstairs in my office.
(Jack walks upstairs to his office as he passes CTU Director Tony Almeida.)
JACK BAUER: Tony I need to talk to you in a minute.
TONY ALMEIDA: Fine.
(Jack enters his office and sits in his chair. He answers his phone.)
JACK BAUER: This is Bauer.
MYSTERY MAN : You better get to the harbour soon.
JACK BAUER: Who is this?
MYSTERY MAN :A deadly nerve agent ricin gas will be released into the water system within the hour.
JACK BAUER: How do I know your telling the truth?
MYSTERY MAN: Wait till seven a.m. and find out. {HANGS UP}
(Jack runs over to Tony's office.)
JACK BAUER: Tony. The call for me, can you back trace it?
TONY ALMEIDA: I'll try it. Why?
JACK BAUER: Whoever I just talked to said that ricin nerve gas will be released into the water system by seven.
TONY ALMEIDA: Did he say where?
JACK BAUER: Yes. Los Angeles Harbour. A ricin gas bomb has been loaded onto a cargo ship and we need to stop that bomb from detonating now.
TONY ALMEIDA: All right. Get a team together and head over there. I'll work this up from my end.
(Jack sighs)
TONY ALMEIDA: What's wrong Jack?
JACK BAUER: I have a feeling that this day just got started Tony. I'll be on channel four.
6:06:45, 6:06:46, 6:06:47...
INT. AGENT CHASE EDMUNDS' SUV - WASHINGTON D.C.
(Agent Chase Edmunds is with the D.C. CTU working undercover for a terrorist cell. He calls Agent Chloe O' Brian.)
CHASE EDMUNDS: Chloe, It's Chase.
CHLOE O'BRIAN: Chase. What's going on?
CHASE EDMUNDS: I've been given a job as a driver.
CHLOE O'BRIAN: Are they on to you?
CHASE EDMUNDS: No. If they were I'd be dead by now. These guys don't mess around. They have something planned for today but I don't know what it is yet. I will soon.
CHLOE O'BRIAN: So you have them trusting you?
CHASE EDMUNDS: Yes. I'm almost at there compound now. I'll get back to you when I find out what's the plan.
EXT. LOS ANGELES HARBOR
(Jack and his team arrive at the harbor. Jack pulls out his lens and spots two guards on the deck of the cargo ship.)
JACK BAUER (on radio): This is beta leader, You are clear to enter the ship but I want all positions called in. If the terrorists even know we are hear they will detonate the bomb and release the ricin into the water system. Are we clear?
(Two CTU field officers enter the cargo ship as one of them trips a alarm switch.)
AGENT CHESSMEN: Beta leader, the alarms been triped. They don't know we're hear yet but they will soon.
JACK BAUER: Damit. We need to get on board and stop the bomb. Maintain positions. Let's go.
(Jack and his team all run towards the cargo ship.)
JACK BAUER: Spread out and take it slow. Let's move.
(They get to the top of the deck when two guards are patrolling.)
JACK BAUER: Cassel, Take them out now.
(Agent Sam Cassel takes both guards out and they make there way to a door that leads downstairs.)
JACK BAUER: Be ready for anything.
(Several terrorists open fire at them as Jack and his team take cover and fire back back.)
TERRORIST# 1: Don't let them get to the bomb.
(CTU Officers take down a few more, one of them surrenders.)
AGENT SAM CASSEL: Hostiles down.
AGENT CHESSMEN: Do we know were the Ricin will be stored sir?
JACK BAUER: I'd guess one of the forward cargo holds. Come on.
(The team makes there way through the cargo ship taking out terrorists one by one. They come across a plile of dead bodies on the ground.)
AGENT CHESSMEN: What the hell is going on here sir?
JACK BAUER: It's the ships original crew. They must of been killed when the ship was taken over.
(Agent Cassel notices something.)
AGENT CASSEL: Up there. It's the bomb.
JACK BAUER: Come on?
(The team starts to work on the bomb. Jack calls Tony.)
JACK BAUER: Tony we found the bomb. Were starting bomb defuse.
TONY ALMEIDA: Good work Jack. Call me when it's disconnected.
JACK BAUER: If you can't defuse this bomb I need to know now.
AGENT CHESSMEN: I can defuse it. I just need to short out the master circut.
(As CTU races to defuse the ricin bomb, Jack takes out a single terrorist guarding the bomb. The bomb is defused in time.)
INT. TERRORIST BUNKER BASE - WASHINGTON D.C.
(Chase enters the building catching Tarket by surprise Tarket draws his gun and points it at Chase. Chase in return draws his gun at Tarket.)
CARR: Put the guns away... I said put the guns away!
(Chase lowers his gun.)
CHASE EDMUNDS: Those are the blueprints you wanted. Now let's talk about where I stand in this organization.
TARKET: We'll tell you where you stand and if you don't like it you can…
CHASE EDMUNDS: I can what? Look I've been doing favors for you for the last year and a half. Unless I get cut in I walk.
CARR: I know these little piss ant job kill you. Well you’re going to get more. A buddy of ours, a man named Ricky Roberts is going to be pulling off a hit for us later today. He got together with a group of people and they have proven to be pretty resourceful.
CHASE EDMUNDS: I heard Ricky Roberts moved out west.
CARR: He did. The hit is going down in L.A.
CHASE EDMUNDS: So who pissed you off that you had to hire some suffer boy convict to kill him?
